Trust & Safety

Kaya is built for Finland — where trust, transparency, and data protection matter. Here's how we protect everyone on the platform.

Identity Verification

Every tasker on Kaya is identity-verified through Didit, an eIDAS-compliant verification partner. This means you can trust who you're dealing with.

Verified users display a blue checkmark on their profile. Verification requires a valid government-issued ID and a live selfie — processed securely, not stored by Kaya.

Secure Payments & Escrow

All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider. Kaya never sees or stores your card or bank details.

Funds are held in escrow until you confirm the task is complete. This protects both sides: posters don't pay for work not done; taskers are guaranteed payment for completed work.

If there's a dispute, Kaya reviews the evidence and releases or refunds funds accordingly.

Privacy & Data Protection

Kaya is GDPR-compliant. We follow EU privacy principles: collect only what's needed, store it securely, and delete it when it's no longer required.

Your exact location is never publicly shown — only your city. Task addresses are shared only with the assigned tasker.

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time from your profile settings.

Safe Messaging

All communication between posters and taskers happens inside Kaya's platform. We recommend keeping all arrangements within the platform so there's a clear record if a dispute arises.

Off-platform transactions are outside Kaya's protection — if something goes wrong, we cannot intervene.

Dispute Resolution

Something didn't go as planned? Raise a dispute within 24 hours of task completion. Kaya's team will review the evidence from both parties and make a fair decision.

We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days. Escrowed funds are released only after resolution.

Community Standards

Kaya has zero tolerance for fraud, harassment, discrimination, or misrepresentation. Violations result in immediate suspension and, where appropriate, reporting to Finnish authorities.

See something suspicious? Report it to safety@kaya.fi.
